Due to their nature and function, some of the kits offered on this website require AC mains power (110-230VAC) to be connected directly to the PCB. Extreme care should be taken when assembling, testing and operating these kits. AC mains power must be treated very carefully. Failure to follow proper assembly and safety procedures could lead to severe injury or death. Detailed safety information is provided in the assembly manuals for these kits. The customer agrees to adhere fully to these safety guidelines.
To ensure safety and protection from fire or personal injury, make sure your mains operated equipment complies with these safety guideline: - NEVER work on the unit while it is plugged in!
- NEVER operate the unit around water or any moisture.
- NEVER bridge the fuses!! Replace blown fuses only with the specified capacity replacements.
- Use a suitable plastic, wood, or otherwise insulated enclosure. If a metal enclosure is used, make sure it is properly grounded to earth ground.
- Mount circuit boards securely so they cannot shift around and possibly short out.
- Always use the proper gauge wire for your expected load. Refer to the assembly manual for this information.
- Verify that all connections are tightly secured; loose wires can generate heat and lead to fire.
