What makes Xkitz different?

We go to great lengths to engineer our electronic kits to be safe, reliable, practical and useful.

We don't want our products to be just interesting novelties that soon end up forgotten in a drawer somewhere. We want our kits to become useful in your everyday lives. So we put a lot of thought into how our customers will actually use our products, and design them accordingly.

For instance, take a look at our 5 Channel Light Organ kit. We split the circuitry between two circuit boards: one has all the components that need to be accessible from outside your light organ enclosure: the condenser mic, the adjustment knob, the line-in jack, and the main power switch. This board, colored flat black, becomes the decorative front panel of your enclosure. The other circuit board has all the rest of the circuitry and is mounted inside your enclosure. This two board solution gives you the ability to easily build a professional quality color light organ system that you can be proud of. Compare this to other light organ kits on the market that have all their circuitry and adjustments on one board - which makes it difficult to extend the controls to the outside of the enclosure.

Now take a look at our Moisture Alarm kit. Sure there are other moisture alarm kits on the market, but none of them have the features that ours has. We engineered this kit based on the smoke alarm model:  Like a smoke alarm, it warns you when a dangerous situation exists. And like a smoke alarm, it has extremely long battery life and it warns you when it's battery is low. In other words, it's designed to be a useful warning device that could save you thousands of dollars in dry rot repairs.

And finally, take a look at our Capacitive Touch Sense Lock Controller kit. It works by detecting the infinitesimal changes in capacitance when you touch the glass (like just a few femtofarads delta!). This keypad works just like all the other security keypads on the market, but the difference is ours does not have any moving parts! It will never wear out or corrode like a mechanical or membrane keypad.
